Delete your Punara account
You can delete your account and everything you studied with it, in the app or on the web. This page explains how, and what happens next.
How to delete your account
- Open Punara on your phone, or sign in on the web at punara.app/student/appv1/.
- Sign in again if you have not signed in in the last few minutes. This is so that nobody else can delete your account from a phone you left unlocked.
- Go to Profile, then Delete account.
- Type DELETE MY ACCOUNT to confirm and tap Request account deletion.
What happens next
- Your account stops working straight away.
- You have 14 days to change your mind. Open Profile, then Delete account, and tap Cancel deletion. Your account and your study come back as they were.
- After the 14 days, your uploaded notes, generated cards, answers, review history and settings are permanently deleted, along with the files stored for them, and your sign-in account is removed. This cannot be undone.
- Records of payments and of security events are kept, so that money can be accounted for. They do not contain your notes, cards or answers.
If you belong to an institute
If you hold an owner, staff or reviewer role in an institute, leave or hand over that role first. The app tells you if this applies to you.
If you cannot sign in
Write to the support address below from the email address you signed up with, and say that you want your account deleted. support@punara.app
